97% of Greensboro’s citizens believe that public water use has increased since 1995 (Source: 2009 Telephone Survey). They are wrong. According to the Greensboro water department's own numbers anyone can easily see that public water use has decreased since 1995.

Water Director Ray Shaw had me publish his future water needs forecast in 1995 to justify the $150 million Randleman Dam project.

The CHART reveals that Greensboro's water forecast never materialized. The telephone survey reveals that citizens are completely unaware that Greensboro’s water needs forecast was a fabrication.

  1. It looks like the chart speaks for itself and the news media should report the truth.

  2. Mike, I'm really worn out today. I put a lot of thought and work into a comment at Fec's, and he deleted it.

Being properly provoked now (and the "lunatic" I am), I hope to get a post up about all of this tomorrow morning at Housecalls.

Take care of yourself. You do not deserve what has been dished out.

And yes, I think the public deserves to know the truth.

Alas, our newspapers - and a good many bloggers - are not interested in "specifics".

We're for damned sure not living in Lincolnton.

  3. Of course, Mike, the public deserves to know. The story that has been fed to the public is very different than the reality.

What we should do with this information can be open to debate. But I don't think anyone has successfully refuted the factual content of your chart.

  4. Dr. Mary, Fec delted one of my comments on another thread as well. For all his bloviating and crap he dishes out towards others I'm a bit surprised he folds so quickly when he and his opinions are vehemently critisized.

My new posts don't show up there. I hope he's not so shallow as to ban me.

  5. Hugh, I'm going to address Fec's behavior very shortly at Housecalls.

Call me out and I come out. This time, I'm pretty pissed off (on behalf of myself, Mike, Joe Guarino and others) and it's time to make some observations Jeff Martin cannot delete.

But alas, it will have to wait. Right now, we in Eastern NC are under the iron grip of a Nor'easter - it's pretty nasty outside. Basements, creeks and low-lying areas are already flooded - and I've been occupied at the hospital trying to get babies out and home.

You see, this "lunatic" practicing physician (libeled on the World Wide Web by the king of GSO's petulant children) has more important things to do.

  6. Are you worried I will drown or that Fec will kill me?

    Place your bets.
